Everybody on the block
Is getting up at five o-clock
To pull our junk out from the attic and the basement
Well I'd rather stay in bed
Gotta move the car instead
'cause we're gonna share the driveway with the neighbors
We're arranging all our wares
Out on tables and some chairs
Lining up and down the sidewalk and the pavement
It's all priced and organized
And we ran an advertisement in the paper

Sometimes you can’t give it away

Things we bought when we were young
Things we thought that we’d become
But we didn’t take the time to pursue it
Things we were holding and preserve
Finally thrown out to the curb
Cause we realize we’ll never really use it
We could’ve thrown it in the trash
But if we can make some cash
Why not let the neighbors comb and rummage through it
Its satisfaction guaranteed
And I think that the instructions are included

Mrs Flynn was out today
Her husband past away
I think it was in ’97
She has a 65 Dodge covered in the back garage
and it has to be in mint condition
They had bought it for their son
but he died at 21 in a military expedition
I sat down and had a cup to tea in her kitchen
and she and told me all about him.
